BVC — Business Visibility Center (“BVC”, “we”) provides automated visibility audits for business websites and public profiles.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: email, display name, authentication identifiers, organization membership.
Audit inputs: URLs you submit and any associated business or location metadata.
Audit outputs: probe results, scores, evidence snapshots, and verification records.
Usage data: rate-limit counters, system health metrics, and basic request logs needed to operate the service.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to run audits, persist results, generate reports, send account and monitoring notifications, prevent abuse, and improve scoring quality. We do not sell your data.

4. Third Parties

We rely on infrastructure providers (managed database, edge runtime), authentication providers (including Google when you sign in with Google), and external diagnostic APIs (such as PageSpeed Insights) to perform audits. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.

5. Anonymous Audits and Claim Tokens

You may run audits without an account. Anonymous audits are bound to a one-time claim token that is hashed at rest; only the holder of the original token (or the user who later signs in and claims the audit) can access private details.

6. Security

We use role-based access controls, row-level security on stored records, hashed claim tokens, rate limiting, and audited service-role usage. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to us via the support channel.

7. Data Retention

Audit records and evidence snapshots are retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of account data at any time; some derived analytics may be retained in anonymized form.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us via your account settings to exercise these rights.

9. Children

BVC is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes

We will post updates to this policy here and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or by email.
